I AM POEM

I am a surfer

I wonder if I will get sponsored when I am older

I hear waves smashing

I see people surfing on waves

I want to meet Kelly Slater

I am a rugby player

I pretend I am a better player than my brother

I feel pain

I touch the ball

I worry that my friends get hurt

I cry when I get hurt

I am a basketball player

I understand the rules

I say I’m open to my team mates

I dream someday I will slam dunk

I try my hardest
